Wakefield Golf Club
Established in 1891, Wakefield is among the oldest private members clubs in Yorkshire. Visitors and members and their guests are assured of a friendly welcome at all times.
The course, designed by Sandy Herd and bunkered by Dr. Alister MacKenzie, is a challenging Par 72. Easy to walk, it comprises two loops of 9 holes both of which start and finish at the clubhouse. Good drainage and high standards of maintenance mean grass tees and regular greens are usually in play all year round, making it a great venue for golf in all seasons. It is ideal for and popular with visitors and societies, many of whom make regular return visits.
Full playing membership available. No joining fees, discounted rates for under 40s.
