Welcome to  Wakefield Golf Club.  Established in 1891 it is among the oldest private members clubs in Yorkshire. Visitors and members and their guests are assured of a friendly welcome at all times.

The course, designed by Sandy Herd and bunkered by Dr. Alister MacKenzie, is a challenging Par 72, SSS 72.  Easy to walk, it comprises two loops of 9 holes both of which start and finish at the clubhouse.  Good drainage and high standards of maintenance mean grass tees and regular greens are in play all year round, making it a great venue for golf in all seasons. It is ideal for and popular with visitors and societies; many of who make regular return visits.

Away from the course enjoy relaxing in the newly refurbished clubhouse with its stunning views down the fairways.  Our clubhouse catering is popular, offering good traditional fare and excellent value; alternatively we can cater for your individual needs by arrangement.  A full range of drinks from traditional beers to fine wines are available at the bar, all served by our friendly staff.

For members, access to the course is easily available without the need to book tee times during the week, or have to enter a ballot for play on a weekend. We currently have a limited number of membership opportunities available, please enquire with the Secretary.
